Excellent food, don't think it is traditional Japanese style, but nevertheless quite tasty. A good place for a nice quiet dinner

The chicken was satisfactory but the fish was shocking, at $18, there were 4 or 5 tiny pieces, definitely not an acceptable portion for a main. I went with 3 friends and 2 vow never to step in there again!

Dozo is an excellent traditional Japanese restaurant. The meals are not only presently beautifully but they taste great too!
Lovely warm feel to the place. Although sometime's I have noticed the chicken was slightly chewy. Aside from that the food is generally delicious.
I would recommend them to anyone!

Dozo has an extensive menu, but the interpretation of the dish is quite different from other Japanese restaurants. Ox tong was actually cubes in gravy sort of sauce! I went with 2 friends and we spent $120 on food, did not have quite enough to eat.

The new menu has some interesting dishes on offer, although some old favourites are missed. The style is a fusion/modern japanese, so if you are after some traditional japanese taste this is not where you'd go. However, the sushi is nicely presented and fresh and the staff are very friendly and helpful. You will feel welcomed like a local and regular customer. While it has a good winelist, BYO is also ok. My personal favourite is the greentea creme brulee which is simply delicious!

The restaurant isnt busy so you get your meals quickly. the menu doesnt describe items clearly enough. It needs re-working. Sushi platters are very expensive, noodle dishes lack any partiular flavour but are the cheapest option on the menu. Staff are friendly and you get a cool mint on the way out.
