I would never ever recommend AJ Grant.

The pure arrogance shown towards their trades is an example of the calibre of the Company.

Claim they're rhe biggest Insurance Builder in Australia- may or not be true, but they are the most untrustworthy.

Pity zero is the lowest ranking you can give them

AJ Grant started out well enough, we were told all the things we wanted hear by [redacted names and personal identifiers]. He too said all the right things like... 'don't worry you got lifetime guarantee'... In my opinion, AJ Grant and their customers have vastly different concepts of that simple statement.
We had most of their tradesman return to fix things. Mostly it was because the workmanship of their tradesmen was utterly disgraceful, and the work seemed to be done with the least amount of respect for us or our hou se. A few of them had to return up to three times to keep fixing there stuff ups.
Anyways, new problems with their shoddy work have arisen and AJ Grant dont want to hear a bit of it. They basically told the Insurance company their work is done and that's that.

This job was a Coles insurance job, they were their preferred supplier and we were basically forced into using AJ Grant as they get special dispensations if anything is uncovered once intrusive work starts. Our builder would not get the same dispensations and anything uncovered that was not in original quote would be ignored by Coles Insurance and up to us to pay for repair....... So although were were told that we could have your own builder...... we really couldn't!

If your like us and had to use AJGrant, be very very careful, document every word, keep every email.
Otherwise............ STAY WELL AWAY FROM AJ GRANT

I wouldn't recommend. Had our patio replaced inder insurance. Leaking wayer every time it rains. Complained to Nrma. Came and siliconed the underside of the patio. And now it just fills up in the void and leaks through the pin holes. Brisbane branch is usless. Its currently raining and leaking.

Basically a very similar experience to unhappyc782.
Didn't show up on the dates they said they would. Unresponsive and unprofessional.
Did poor work and had to come back constantly to fix their poor work (6 times for the flooring!), seems like everything is "not my job" with their subcontractors.
Say one thing and do another.
As unhappyc782 said, if you have any choice through your insurance DO NOT LET AJ GRANT WORK ON YOUR HOUSE, they just left it looking worse than it was and took 11 months to do a job that was said to take 3.....
Honestly the worst experience I've ever had with any company

Had an extremely disappointing restoration work done by AJ GRANT. Work was of very inferior quality, and took 2 months to complete in bits and pieces. This company was extremely misleading and untrustworthy. Their workmanship was tacky and half completed at times which ultimately gave way within 6 weeks of the completed work and the company refused to rectify the issue, instead submitting false, dishonest and misleading reports to the insurance company to cover up faults in their work. Most displeased with AJ Grant. They clearly treat pensioners like idiots. Don’t make the same mistake, ask your insurance company to use a different company!!

Matt from AJ Grant came out to our place today to quote on a new roof for the shed that was damaged in a recent storm. It was great to see a friendly local and knowledgable tradesman. He was here on time exactly when he said he would be.Very happy with the service.
