I have a pretty refined palette when it comes to beer, and I come from Milwaukee Wisconsin where we know good beer, so what a relief it was to find this place in the heart of St. Kilda. I know I moved to Australia to get a good dose of the Australian culture, but sometimes having that taste of home is comforting, and there was no shortage of good beers from my home there. I wish the guys who work there could be a bit more enthusiastic, I know that when it comes to liquor, I like someone who can listen to what I like and make a recommendation, especially with a place with so much to offer. I also wish it were in a different location. I've since moved away from St. Kilda and realize I took it completely for granted that all those cool shops were within walking distance from my apartment, and now a trip to Acland Street is met with crowds and no parking, so my visits are far less frequent.

This is one of a kind cellars shop with 600 types of beer, from all around a world, it is located on a main street,easy to get in and out, hard to find parking but its worth to check it, also all beers are in cool room too so if you need cold one its ready to go. I found some rare beer in glass bottle with special cup and that bottle is reusable I am loving it and use it as a drink bottle for water as it taste great from glass.

used to like this store but the service was too weird. dan murphy's stock some of their spirits now anyways for cheaper. if you're into beer they have a large selection.

decent alcohol shop but when i bought a massive lot of alcohols, like over $500 worth, i asked the owner if a discount was possible and he promised to "chuck in something extra" when he delivered the lot later that night. not only did he bail on his word and gave me no such extra something, he also delivered one of the spirits in the wrong flavour. i wasn't impressed and asked about it sometime later, and all he cared to offer me was a cheap $5 glass pint. made it pretty awkward and haven't been since.
