I refer to your complaint regarding Adelaide Concrete Resurfacing & Removal Pty Ltd (the trader).

Your complaint was received by the Compliance and Enforcement (C&E) Unit of Consumer and Business Services (CBS).

Based on the evidence, a decision was made to issue the trader a notice that they cease and desist from performing unlicenced building work, as well as issue the trader a formal warning in relation to potential breaches of the Building Work Contractors Act 1995 (SA) (the Act).

CBS will continue to monitor the trader and consider taking further action should any further breaches be identified.

I would seriously advise against using this company. Job carried out by Adelaide Concrete resurfacing and Removal in March 2021..
The area had old peeling paint and cracks. There was no prep done prior to restoring our driveway. The product was sprayed directly on top of the peeling paint and the cracks.
Shading appeared within 2 days. James blamed the product. It took many phone calls for the job to be re sealed. In less than 12 months, blistering , cracks and lifting of the surface appeared. James came to look at the job and promised to carry out repairs. He then didn’t show up on the multiple dates he committed to. He told outright lies . We continued to attempt to contact James throughout 2022. All calls and texts were ignored. In 2023 he made contact and dates to fix the work. Once again didn’t show up. And again is now not returning call calls or answering texts
I cannot stress enough how poorly this company has performed. I advise others to stay away from Adelaide Concrete Resurfacing and Removal

Quoted for a driveway to be updated and refreshed. Lots of promises of how good the work was and 13 odd years of experience in the industry which was not evident when remediating old concrete with new. Countless texts pre finalisation on when they return to complete. 3 months after completion evidence of cracking and delaminating appeared which we contacted repeatedly in good faith to rectify and were told how busy they were, and given multiple excuses and outright lies. Finally Escalated to CBS where an agreement was signed to repair and again they failed to honour. Under no circumstances do not do business with this company. We have given them a [redacted] donation for rubbish/ sub standard work. Most disappointing tradie company I have ever dealt with and give tradies a bad rep/ name. Would not be surprised to see an appearance on Current Affair, [redacted].

Do not use this company. The worst service I have ever experienced. [removed name] resurfaced our driveway and around the front of house (180sqM). Massive over-spray left on our surrounding river pebbles and artificial lawn and then he used the wrong colour sealer. 3 months later and still not fixed despite many promises to fix it. Good luck trying to reach them , does not answer phone or text messages. When finally give you a date to fix it , does not show up. [removed name] does not seem to care about work quality or customers. Steer well clear of this company.

Worst company I've ever dealt with. Concrete was wavey, falling back towards the house, poor finish, reo on the ground, cracking from day one, no waterproofing against the house slab. They ignored us for 7 months when we complained, until Consumer and Business Services investigated and made them come and rip it all out and refund our money.
