Agosti is a great big space, perfect for large groups, with lots of big comfy chairs. The staff are pleasant, however the experience would be vastly improved with table service - I'm not sure what the fascination with order & pay at the counter is!
Despite the inviting, comfy chairs there is something missing from this space. A lack of atmosphere is definitely apparent. Mostly though Agosti falls short in the food stakes. While my meal here was okay, it was only just that. Ingredients thrown together.
I have given this cafe two tries, not sure if it's worth a third with the plethora of inviting spaces serving great food in Newcastle. Maybe sometime further down the track, there is potential there!
- They do a lunch special during the week for $10.90 which looks like good value.
