Great value and great food and great team. Going to Ajitoya's is kind of like going to a relative's restaurant. It is not particularly glamorous or elegant. But it is comfortable and neat. And what it lacks in exhaustive attentiveness, it makes up for in genuine quite service and a homegrown charm. I really like Ajitoya because they offer all my favourite japanese foods at a great price, without compromising on quality.
For example: The Pickles ($7 with 3 variations) are homemade. The takoyaki comes as a dish of 5 for $10 and the balls are almost hidden by a thick blanket of nori & katsuobushi flakes, dotted with mayonnaise & sweet sauce.

A bit pricey but what you get is greta home cooked Japanese food. The takoyaki is gorgeous and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. There is also a great selection of beers available.

The ambience is great and there is also a little grocery section in there for some Japanese produce.

Definitely worth checking out.

Thank goodness Seddon finally got a Japanese restaurant! Food is great - delicious and fresh and the menu seems to change quite often. And the staff are super friendly.

Lovely little restaurant that has opened up in Seddon. It's great to finally have Japanese around and the couple that run this business are doing a great job. THe ever evolving and changing menu features fresh traditional cuisine. They are about to open for breakfasts too which I'm looking forward to.
