Great food great service and great price. Had the sushi, agadashi tofu, and a seaweed salad that all came out promptly and tasted delightful. We've tried many Japanese places around bayside and this would easily top them

ordered the sashimi and the tempura scallops. For dishes that were $22 each, the sashimi worked out at about $2 per slice and there were only 3 scallops and the rest were vegetables. The quality was faultless, however the value is simply not competitive enough for my liking.

The food is so good at Akiya we eat here once a week and often get takeout one other evening. First class sashimi. Quiet unobtrusive staff and dining environment.
