Had a transmission replaced last year in my partners Holden, took a week to fit but was reasonably priced. Thought they were ok. Took my other car back and got mucked around a lot over a head gasket blowing in my pulsar.

Aladn quoted $1300 for a second hand engine, plus head gasket. $1700 by Werribee Towing for new head gasket, but that is what I paid for the car and after owning it for 4 weeks, we tried getting a better deal… how we were wrong!!

Aladn had my car for a total of 3 months, 4 weeks of that was without a car, the rest of the time, I had 2 loan cars supplied to me, 1 with a stuffed transmission, the second with a stuffed fuel gauge. After countless times the car was returned back to me, within a few days, the car was returned back to them with either the head gasket leaking, engine overheating and finally the last time, the bottom end of the motor had seized, which they would have known about if they checked the engine they supplied me with. Aladn charged me with repairs I had not consented to, fitted bits into the engine which was dodgy and not working, when they had an engine that came with car, but only needed head gasket replaced!

Called up a local mechanic after the car was finally returned to me and he said the bottom end of motor had gone and to sell it. This would have been because the engine they put in was not cleaned properly. Aladn charged me $1700 in total after all their stuff ups, charging me for repairs I had not consented to, I ended up selling the car off to a different wrecker after having enough of being messed around with and ripped off.. I am surprised they are still operation.

I was searching for a Audi A4 headlight for my car, and the Audi dealers were quoting me prices which was pretty ridiculous.
A friend told me about Aladn Wreckers, so I rang them and to my amazement they stock Audi parts! The prices were very reasonable, however the service was a bit slow.
Overall, the price and the friendly customer service definitely has my tick of approval!
