I had booked in for a family photoshoot with Alan Khan Photography in January of this year. After the photoshoot was done, an initial amount as quoted by Alan was paid. It took multiple follow ups after that to get to see the photos that were taken. Alan provided a date and time to view the photos at his office but he wasn't even at his place when we turned up as he was apparently at a wedding. The time given for appointments was a farce as not a single appointment had gone on time and he always had some excuse or the other.
Finally after we got a chance to view and select the photos, it was agreed that editing would be done to a few pics. On checking multiple times later on when the final set of edited pics would be available, he was always dismissive with reasons like he was at a wedding or with clients. Understandably, covid could bring about staff shortages and delays but none of this was clearly communicated.
When I requested him to just give in the digital copies without any editing (considering the delays, amount of futile follow ups and missed appointments), a whole lot of new terms & conditions and prices were revealed. I was not in a position to go ahead with the transaction after this point. There was no contract provided initially stating all this and none of this mentioned at the time of initial consultation.
What should have been happy memories captured of the family turned out to be turned out to be a very harrowing experience and what made it worse was Alan's high handed, dismissive behaviour and ignoring my calls and messages.
In the end, I did not even receive a finished product as there were no compromises made. To say that I would not recommend this business to anybody is an understatement. Make sure you clearly understand the terms and conditions, prices and timeframes upfront in case you decide to go with this and like some of the others have said, to make any payment only after you get the finished product.

Lovely people who did a fantastic job on our wedding. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is considering a photographer and video coverage for their special day.

He is bloody expensive but his photography cannot be faulted. Our wedding album is a work of art. It was honestly worth every cent. One word of warning - everything is done his way or he won't photograph your wedding. However, he is such an expert you are best off doing as he says!
