Aldi is yet to disappoint, everything is fresh and of good quality, most impressive are the bulk almonds which taste better than anywhere else (including expensive organic or pesticide free grown ones), good value for money, simple layout, easy to navigate, weekly changing specials of a variety of things s.a gardening, school, camping etc articles.
My weekly shop is consistently 1/3 less than elswhere.

Originally, when Aldi first opened, what put me off shopping at Aldi was an abusive female cashier. Since trying the store again I have found the male staff to be pleasant and helpful but there is still a sulky cashier. On the plus side – there is more than adequate parking both on the premises and in the street. It easy to drive in and out. On the negative side – there is not much offered that I want to buy. In particular, the “fresh” fruit and vegetables have been disappointing. In my opinion many are fit only for the compost heap and others have lasted only the day of purchase. I am able to find some satisfactory staples such as the organic pasta sauce but it is not worth my effort to go to the store for only a few items. The layout is easy to get around but the first thing one encounters directly ahead is the lollies and chocolate aisle. This bit of marketing is annoying although I imagine very effective, else it would not be done. I have experienced some items not being priced, and no one seeming to know what the price is, even a week after. I believe this is in contravention of policy.

I feel it is only fair to add that their plants have been very good.
