I recently used Allan's. I thought that they were excellent. I had four boys done between the ages of 2yrs & 10yrs and also my son had his hair cut. They had different stylists and all did a great job. I would highly recommend this hairdresser and will use them again.

I always walk out of Allan's in Castle Hill happy and if I'm not they are always happy to help and rectify my concerns! Have been a customer for 3+ years, all the stylists are good, some are better. Friendly and not pushy to buy their products!

Unfortunately the hairdresser here just didn't listen. As I am trying to grow my hair to medium length I asked to barely touch the hair on the top of my head, and by tidying up the sides. My hair was about 2.5'' long on top. Now it is 1'', which has put me months back with growing my hair. I was too embarased to complain as I hate complaining and I guess I was stunned in disbelief with the apparent ignoring of my instructions. The only reason I give two stars and not one is because it is a good short cut, but nowhere near what I asked for. Please tell your staff that LISTENING to what your clients want is paramount, regardless of what haircut you believe is best for them. I won't name the hairdresser as everyone should have the chance to learn from mistakes and it's up to the management to get this message across.

I asked for a mo-hawk style cut, and asked for it to be longer at the back, no.3 on the sides and thinned out at the top. instead i got some trashy cut that is best described as trash. They worked on my hair for about 5 minutes and then said it was finished. Then afterward i asked for them to clean around the sides and then shape my sideburns (which is standard in any Mens hairdresser) and they looked rather puzzled and asked me how they were supposed to do that. They didn't even know what a cut-throat blade was. As i watched i told them to "stop and forget it i'll try and do it myself at home." Looking rather offended they called their manager over and asked them to shape my side burns which were beyond repair. I walked out of their shop with a crooked haircut and a crooked attitude. This isn't the first time I had a really choppy experience here. Anybody that is thinking of getting their hair done at Castle Hill Allan's, Please think again.
