The service at AMW Hair is amazing. The owner of the salon has over 25 years experience with a huge clientele.Some people think hairdressers have magic wands that can turn them into supermodels.Reality is beauty is from the inside and some people are ugly on the inside how can you make them look stunning when they walk in with the intention to get free hair services every salon they visit.

Annie is a real gem. I had bounced around hairdressers for a while never really getting a great haircut or service. Luckily I found Annie through a friend & she has been fantastic. We spent some time on my first visit discussing what I wanted & ever since then she just remembers! I used to get so annoyed explaining myself every time at other hair dressers. Plus if I ever want a change Annie is always happy to chat about it & go over the maintenance etc that is required. I have never had a bad haircut or experience with her so until she retires she will be my hairdresser.

Very rude. Hair cut not what I wanted. Made me uncomfortable, could not comment on how I wanted my hair done, staff went to serve another customer making me wait for 35 mins longer than my appointment should have been, overall most horrible experience I have had with any service in my whole life. Would never not step into this place!! Have already spread the word with all my friends. I have been to numerous hair dressers in Brisbane over the past 5 years. With the increasing number of deals on offer, I have never had a constant hair dresser. I have a very simple style and never use colour on my hair. I have had bad hair cuts from some of these hair dressers but they genuinely try to fix it for me. But never have I been treated so rudely. Staff from AMW Hair and Beauty was doing a Keratin treatment for me. I have done Keratin treatment in the past and was inquiring about the way it was done at AMW. I was given very short abrupt answers which was fine as I thought that would be the nature of the person. But then when staff started cutting and blow drying, I found that my hair was being pulled very hard and I requested if staff could be more gentle to which staff replied in a matter of fact manner that this is the way that hair is done. With this behaviour continuing, I had to ask if staff was not happy to serve me. To which staff replied that I don't seem to like the way staff does things. I was just stating that I don't like my hair being pulled so hard. At the end my haircut, staff grumpily held the mirror for me. I could not see anything because of the reflection. Without even asking if I was happy with my hair cut, staff slammed the mirror down and went on to serve another customer. I had to get the mirror myself and have a look. My hair was not layered like I had asked for. While I was doing this, staff continually interrupted me for settling the bill. It was so intimidating that I did not even want to talk about my hair cut. Unlike the last time I got my Keratin treatment where I had silky smooth hair , this product was sticky and made me uncomfortable. I am yet to see if this will be as good as the one I did before at other hair salon (wonderful salon with great customer service, they were so apologetic when they misquoted the price of the conditioner- mistakes happen to anyone and I did not even bat an eyelid to pay the extra $$).
