Rhys at Angwin Plumbing and Gas has helped us out over the past few years when we've had a plumbing concern. My experience has been well above expectation on every occasion. Rhys is highly skilled and knowledgeable, efficient and responsive. He is also friendly and does a great job for a fair price. I would highly recommend his work.

Total bill shock! Completely unreasonable charges. This guy tried to charge us over $3000 for 6 hours of standard plumbing work. Writes a novel on his invoice to pad it all up but refused to provide an itemised invoice clearly showing labour charge and materials, when requested (as per Consumer Protection). We disputed and refused to pay the full amount of his excessive invoice. Paid him $1650 and even that was being generous. Wouldn’t give us an upfront quote from photos sent and couldn’t tell us exactly what it cost at end of 1st visit, deflects by saying ‘just a flat rate’, but won’t tell what his ‘rate’ is, so you’re at his total mercy waiting for an invoice. Still in dispute …but threatens to send his team around to uninstall the parts I supplied! Don’t use this guy - total rip off and no repeat business coming his way!

I would not recommend this business. Gave 2 starts for arriving at nominated time. However, the plumber left the job in a mess and did not clean up. Also, this plumber will not provide an itemised invoice (as required by Consumer Protection) if requested, and bases cost on historical costs for work of this nature . As such, you are unable to establish the cost of labour/ hour , materials etc. Also charges an Audit and Compliance Fee in the event they need to provide a certificate to a licencing authority (and in most cases wont need to ). Short term thinking as I have several properties in the Como area and would have used them repeatedly if a quality service was provided at a reasonable cost. Make sure you obtain a Quote before engaging this plumber to avoid surprises when the Invoice arrives.

Did a job for my mother in law for a leaking tap. But still leaks and refused to rectify it and want to further charge to fix it.
Got another plumber to fix it which is a simple issue and should have done it right in the first place. This is incompetent and irresponsible company.

Work done was satisfactory (two tap washers and one tap replaced), but extremely expensive - $316 labour for 30 minutes work (he said it included his “travel time”).
I should have absolutely asked for his quote before he did the minor work.

Rhys was great have such good advice no hidden fees he gave me a price and spoke to me first before going ahead he did a great job and would happily recommend and have him back as our usual plumber! He has a young family and I feel he’s very trustworthy! Thanks rhys

Rhys helped me with my renovation a few years ago and did a great job. Naturally he was my first choice for my current reno project. He is always on time, does a great job and is very professional. My family now call on him too.

On time, and readily available plumber. I would use them for emergency work. Gives good advice as well on job completion. $90/hr, but charges an hour to type invoices out and $200 for 2 metres of copper pipe
