I bought a dining suite that was on sale, the price tag was on the item. I was happy with the price and quality so bought the suite filled in all the paperwork and paid upfront in full. organized to pick it up the next week and so went home. Approximately an hour later i received a phone call to say the price on the item was wrong and i had to pay another $650 or get all my money back. I was upset because the shop assistant had phoned his boss while i was there to confirm the price and everything was fine. So i said i wanted my money back as it wasn't worth that much and i wanted to come down and pick up a cheque or get it put back on my card to which he replied i couldnt and that it would be posted 'when he had time' which i thought wasn't good enough. I rang retail traders and they said that if the suite was itemised at the price i had paid for it on the reciept that he couldn't ask for more money so i rang back and told him that to which he followed by getting angry at me and telling me i had my information wrong and couldn't do that so on and so forth. Later that night i got another phone call with him all apologetic and blaming the whole situation on someone else and that i could have the suite at the price i had paid.

So when we went to pick it up at 4pm one week day there was noone there. we rang head office and they discovered that the shop had been shut early because the manager that day was bored so felt like going home..... at 4pm on a week day? what sort of business shuts up just because they feel like it????

absolute mess, i will never shop there again unless i can walk out with the item that minute!
