As Director of a growing Canberra-based allied health care business, I rely on IT to keep patient records secure and accessible, and to ensure staff are consistent, productive and supported.

The first 3 service providers we used were hopeless. They were unresponsive and expensive. They would do things to our IT systems without adequate consultation or testing and then go on vacation the day after implementation, leaving us in a shambles. They would then refuse to acknowledge any guilt or ownership of the problems they had caused and would demand excessive hourly rates to fix their own mistakes.

We've now been with Anti Chaos for about 3 years and the experience has been excellent. Some of the reasons I like them include:

- They have virtualised our servers and migrated us to new hardware with far greater overall stability. Note: this work was quoted and reasonable, and the quote was honoured with no cost overruns.

- I am quite hands-on, and Anti Chaos is flexible with letting me do what I want within my IT environment. They are happy to do it all, or to show me the ropes on something new so I can self-manage (e.g. we just went through this with workstation file management via Group Policy).

- They respond urgently and competently when urgency is required, whether that be a website issue, email down, router/ISP issues, etc.

- They have set-up proactive monitoring of our servers to catch issues before they turn into trouble.

- They take ownership for their mistakes on the rare but inevitable occasions they occur.

- Aruna and his team are very capable with IT and networking, and I always get good advice and great service. They know what can be done, rather than what can't - which is an important distinction in an industry that is very good at telling you what can't be done.

- They treat their customers with courtesy and respect.

Anti Choas Solutions may not be the perfect IT provider, but they are the closest I've found yet in Canberra.
