I have been into this store about 5 times over the years looking for certain products. They have some great items but I have never been to a shop where [redacted personal identifiers] are so rude and unfriendly. Never once have they even bothered to say hello. I could walk around for a hour and nobody approaches me to ask if I need help. I have no idea how they stay in business but I for one will never set foot in there again

This shop has some beautiful pieces, but there is a mix between reproduction and antique products and you have to be careful that you're not paying antique prices for something new. Their advice regarding restoration was excellent as was their wood cleaning and polish products. Also great range of knobs, hinges and handles, but they are much more expensive than other shops and items can be found at more than 30-50% less elsewhere.

We have purchased a few items at Antique Effects for our home. We find that there is an expectation that you are knowledgeable when you enter the store and for someone who isn't, this can be a bit daunting. We have purchased tiles and had the incorrect ones arrive.

Lovely products, but seemingly disinterested service, not helped by some inflated prices, including the repro stuff. Could be more approachable, gave the impression of being to busy to be bothered. Perhaps need to remember who keeps the business running.
