We started using Ariel back in the first decade of the 2000's. We were running a business then and had regular call for batteries for the work cars. After trying various suppliers we discovered Ariel and never looked back. Price, promptness, reliability and quality all excellent. Since selling our business 13 years ago our needs have been much more sporadic - in no small part because his batteries last so long (my last one 13 yeaars!). But our experience has been the same. Last week my brother-in-law drove over from Esperance in their bug camping rig. The deep cycle auxilliary battery was over-heating and breathing out Hydrogen Sulphide when they got here. The lovely guy at Ariel (I don't even know his name :( ) knew exactly what was needed, had it in stock, and had us sorted within an hour.
they really really know their stuff (you can also get batteries rapidly tested there if you're unsure of status) and I hope he's around for many more years.
PS. Don't be alarmed at the state of the shop if you visit. It's real 'old worldy', including the massive ancient tester on the bench that looks like it was retrieved from a tip but is still better than anything newer you can buy.

I have been using Ariel Batteries for decades now. Never had an issue and the chap is always very helpful. I have truly lost count of the number of batteries I have bought from Ariel. We currently have 8 vehicles that need batteries every now and again so we are regulars there. I will be going back until the day I die.

I've been using Ariel Batteries for about 20 years. It is a small family business in Clifton Hill and has been around since 1947.

There is no need to make an appointment. If you walk through the door, you'll get the service. It is a small shop front with a traditional workshop. The service is very professional.

Ariel differs from some other places in that they make their own batteries. One reason why I chose them in the first place was because they recycle any parts that they can. This does not affect the quality of the product. I had one battery that lasted me nine years.

The pricing is very reasonable and they do not try to sell you the most expensive product on the shelf. They simply recommend the product that will do the job.

For all of these reasons, I am a returning customer. I now live well out of the city, but I would always return.
