It was a cold night and a bowl of ramen noodles from Arigataya was a warming experience. The shop itself is very humble, with not much decor and comfortable seating. Obviously not fine dining, but the noodle soups are fantastic.
I had the pork stock based noodles and it was flavoursome and extremely yummy. My husband had the Karage Chicken Curry Rice, which was surprising a little spicyer than the average Japanese curry but also extremely nice.
The staff are friendly and as a small business, I think they are doing really well.

I haven't been to this restaurant for a while. Went there a couple of weeks ago and then noticed that maybe the management team has changed. The restuarant used to serve extra noodle free of charge, but the 'new' menu doesn't say so. The soup wasn't my taste- it's too salty and oily for me. will need to find a new place for ramen in town.

Approximate cost: $15

The much anticipated place for ramen (japanese specialty noodles) newly opened earlier this year. I had heard alot about this place, very mixed reviews so i decided to try it out myself.

I had the miso ramen. And i must stay i was quite disappointed. The soup base was a little let down from some of the other ones i've tried. And the chashu was not as tender as i would have liked it. The portion size i must say was very generous, with alot of soup to warm me up on a cold day.

But, overall the ramen i tried is probably one i wouldn't want to have seconds :(

Approximate cost: $10-15
