We bought a house in new estate in Epping and it is all suppose to be 6 star energy rating and fibre optic cabling throughout estate. We are only given one telecommunication company to go with for home phone and internet as no other companies including Telstra service this area which is ridiculous, so we have no choice but to go with them. They claim the internet speed is 100.0Mbps but it takes over 3minutes for our home page to come on! Call rates are disgusting they charged me $9.40 to call my mum in Qld for 20 minutes! They also charge $30 line rental. We ended up cancelling our home phone as it was costing us a fortune when we were calling their helpline constantly and they charge us everytime we called so we now use our mobile phones and skype which is so much cheaper!! Im not a big fan of Telstra but i would love for them to come and take over their lines!! Everyone in our estate is appaulled by this company but we dont have any other options at this stage as i was informed Arise has the contract until Dec 08!
