I had been thinking of getting someone to help me re design my back garden for many years and finally got around to it after finding Hamish Curran from Aroona Landscapes.

The initial meetings and planning went very smoothly and I found Hamish to be easy to work with, personable and able to listen and work with my ideas. He did not try and impose his ideas but really took the time to understand how I wanted the garden to be.

The process of designing was interactive and good fun with several meetings at my house and in the garden which looked like a junk yard after a new deck had been built and several parties held!

The quote was comprehensive with all components broken down and explained and also very reasonable.

The construction process went smoothly with Hamish and his work partner, Caleb arriving to start on time and completing the work efficiently. They were a delight to have around, the dogs enjoyed the whole process and they were always considerate and cleaned up after every day. They worked incredibly hard and consulted with us on a daily basis whenever required.

The garden looked fantastic and the highlights were the stone work and wall, Castlemaine crazy paving and the water feature. This work was very labour intensive,dirty and dusty and both Hamish and Caleb worked painstakingly to make sure it was a good job.

The finished result surpassed our expectations and all our friends were in agreement that we should have done it long ago! In summary , I found the whole process easy, affordable, with the end result looking amazing and with time and growing to look even better in 12 months.

Firstly, we were very impressed with his skill and knowledge when helping us re-landscape our large backyard. The high quality of the work speaks for itself.
The new bluestone stairs are stunning, with beautifully laid pavers, as are the new retaining walls, garden beds and lawn area. Attention to detail was extremely impressive.
