I went to Ashanti for a blowdry for a special occassion and that was the best blowdry that i ever had. I had straightening iron put in my hair and normally with other hairdressers it doesn't last long at all.But the way they straightened my hair was so smooth and sliky - lasted a whole week! Insanely overpriced. I was charged $65 for an experience that lasted 10 minutes. It was a quick wash and an even quicker trim for my pixiecut that cost me over $50. It looks barely different to how it did when I walked in but apparently $65 is the minimum. There are plenty of places that charge significantly less for a trim and deliver the same (or even better) quality. When I first got my long hair cut into a pixie cut it cost me $35 at St. Ives so it was ludicrous for Ashanti to charge me almost double. It was unfortunate that I was in a rush and there werent any other salons available. Prices were also not shown. The atmosphere was not friendly. When we expressed our dissatisfaction there was no sense of customer resolution or even an apology from the manager. Highly non-recommended.

I had been to Ashanti salon a few years ago and was pretty happy with the results. Lastnight i returned as i was in dire need of a colour. Firstly they accomodated me by fitting me in on the same day i called, even though they were busy. I have to say i am so impressed. I love the colour - the staff were great and service was fast. I would really recommend this salon.
