At one time I would have said this was the best Post Office in the area, and not only because I knew someone working there. But sadly, this has changed. Every single time I am forced to come here (because it's a parcel pick up or something I can't avoid) the queue is almost out the door and around the corner. Parking is almost non-existent in this location. We take a passenger and drive the block numerous times.

There are one, two ... sometimes three staff but one always seems to be dealing with passport photos or applications and so for "normal" business, the wait is sometimes quite long.

I thought it a good idea when Post Offices began to sell envelopes and other stationery, but now the place is packed with items like a bargain shop - fluffy toys, watches, electrical appliances, DVD's etc. These hold up the line of customers who want ... shock ... to buy some stamps or pick up a parcel. Last time I was in there the person before me was purchasing some camping gift type set - which had no price code - which then took ages.

On the parcel pick-up subject there are two varying experiences I've had. First, the parcel person seems not to try and deliver at all. We've been home the whole time and yet there's a card in the box which can be frustrating if you can't pick it up until later. The second experience is more positive - there is a little-known "hole in the wall" next to the private boxes around the back in a laneway and parcels can be picked up here by knocking on this hidden door from the early hour of 6.00 am until 9.00 am, which is convenient when you have to be at work before the latter time.

The staff, to be fair, have too much to deal with. If they lost all the stock which wasn't post related, then we'd all be better off.

Gosh! I thought my local post office in Epping Plaza had long queues! I have found myself waiting 15 minutes at each each time. Well said about picking up bargains, I have found buying birthday and xmas gifts at the post office every so often!
