I had an appointment for a family of four to submit our passport applications. The Australia Post website informed us that an appointment was necessary so we had to wait a number of days before the forms could be lodged. Despite this, I was told we had to wait in a queue of others also waiting to process their applications because there was only one person doing them.

Meanwhile, I watched a number of people collect blank applications and they were all told no appointment was necessary to submit them. This is all very good and well for those without an appointment but surely if someone books for a specific time, they should have priority, particularly with a toddler and a newborn in tow?!

35 to 40 minutes after out appointed time, we were called up and the staff dared to show frustration towards me because I had four applications to submit. I HAD BOOKED FOR FOUR PEOPLE, WHAT DID THEY EXPECT?

The only reason we booked our appointment at Macarthur Square was so I could get banking and other tasks done. The only reason we actually got these things done was because my husband went off for half an hour while I waited to be served. If we had to wait any longer, I planned to not-so-discreetly start breastfeeding by the front counter.

There are three post offices in Campbelltown. Book somewhere else, people!
