I asked for a quote to replace the EGR cooler. I got a 1200 dollar quote.

I planned the day off to get it fixed.

Dropped my car of at 0900u. I had a two hoses and asked, if when they are working on the EGR, please replace the hose going into the heater core. I pointed out which hose. And told to leave the other hose alone because it was perfectly fine.

Now it comes.

I got a phone call around 12!!! 3 hours later with the message that the whole engine had to come out to replace the EGR! 15 hours of work!!!

What!?

Whole engine out? I didn't approve that!

30 minutes later I got a call back. That they can do it for 1900!? 7-9 hours work

What you quoted me 1200!

I immediately went back and guess what?
They billed me the replacement of two hoses. I told them to only change the one going to the heater core! Which I told them to do when replying the EGR.

DO not bring your car here. They will rip you off!
