The music and venue itself was fantastic however, they closed the bar after half an hour and apparently when asked, the 'hostess' told some patrons they had closed it as they didn't want to be cleaning up after drunks!! Not long after that, people were walking in with drinks only to find out they had opened the bar again after too many complaints but they didn't actually let anyone know.
Pretty disappointing on the hospitality side but the 'Atlantic Crossing' concert was well worth it!!

A great art house style cinema although the foyer seems extremely cluttered. You can enjoy an alcoholic beverage before seeing your movie which is awesome. There is only 1 cinema though so session times are usually inconvenient but the staff are lovely
Approximate cost: $15
Beautiful 50's cinema with an extensive range of art and collectibles available for purchase in the foyer. Delicious handmade choc tops, friendly staff and overall great cinema if you are after something a little less main stream.
Approximate cost: $14
We first went there because it is such a quaint little building right on the beach at Avoca. We were pleasantly surprised with the comfort level, far better than some of the big theaters. You can get a glass of wine in summer or a cup of coffee in winter and take it in with you. Overall it is a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We have been back many times since.
What a wonderful little place this is. A picture theatre where you can buy a glass of wine and take it into the movie with you. This place attracts a very relaxed, educated crowd. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
