This has been my local Thai for many years as I grew up just up the road. It's amazing. Has gone through different owners but they do not dissapoint.

Approximate cost: $10

If you have read a few of my reviews - you would know I am crazy for thai - in particular panang curry with chicken. Must say these guys did not disappoint. Lots of chicken in my curry compared to vegetable which is not something you always find. Coconut rice was average but still okay. Would recommend going here for lunch as dinner can get busy.

been coming here for years. They have had quite a few changes of ownership but with saying that the food has always remained authentic thai food. Very good and well worth the money. Each dish is roughly $16-$20

Our family moved to Sinnamon Park at the beginning of December 2015 and tried takeaway from a Thai restaurant at Mt Ommaney but it was just awful. When my wife suggested that we try a takeaway from Baan Pad Thai I was a little hesistant but it had some great reviews.

We ordered Satay sticks, Home made fish cakes, Tom Kah, Panang Curry, Chiang Mai Curry and coconut rice. Overall, the food was delightful and definitely genuine Thai.

We started off with the Tom Kah and what a start - it was light and deliciously fragrant with the flavours of lime/lemon, coconut and galangal combining in creamy broth that was an absolute delight.

The Chiang Mai curry is my new favourite, a beautiful balanced combination of coconut cream, light chilli flavour and crispy egg noodles with a meat of your choice (in our case beef - nice and tender).

The coconut rice was delicate, light and fluffy (how do they keep the grains separated and yet tender and flavoursome?) and not too sweet.

We also enjoyed the Penang Curry which packed a chilli punch but was not overpowering.

The kids have asked that the Thai fish cakes with their combination of garlic and coriander be part of our permanent menu, they are so good.

In summary, superb Thai food from a suburban gem that gives Siam at Southbank or Tuk Tuk a run for their money. We will be back.

Unfortunately didn't have a great experience here. My husband ordered his meal hot, and the staff were actually staring at him from the kitchen while he ate his meal. Very small & squashy inside. I ordered the chicken satay which was like boiled chicken pieces and broccoli stalks (no actual broccoli) and some sauce just poured over the top. Very bland. Needless to say we never went back, and won't. Much better Thai around for our liking.

You know how you read a review and think ---"thats just flat out wrong" well thats this review ,so forget it and take it from someone who knows thai food & has eaten at Bann Thai once a week and have done so for 5 years ---do your self a favour a go there , the food is first rate as is the service ,ok setting is not the spirit house , if you want that ---go to the spirit house(Sunshine coast & beautiful by the way !) , for great FRESH Thai food in the burbs--none better that Bann Thai . and by the way if you choose the inside tables or the alfresco area (carpark)& you see "the kitchen staff " say hello one of them is a master of thai cooking and thay are all wonderful people!
