This shop has undergone somewhat of a transformation. It has always been a "must visit" place for me in the past. They are just out of the main shopping area, on the corner of John St. There's no parking in busy Douglas Pde, so go round the corner.

There are rooms full of interesting items and collectables from odd pieces of furniture to that 1970's Glen Campbell album you've been looking for.

Now they have changed their focus a little to provide an array of costumes and period clothing from many era's. Some are hand made.

But, to agree with the previous reviewer, the cost is rather high. So if you HAVE to have it, that's okay. But be prepared to pay $60 to hire what I thought was not a very elaborate costume.

An interesting second hand clothes shop & costume hire shop. Very expensive by most second hand clothes standards - certainly no Savers or Vinnies. They have an amazing range of vintage hippy & 50's, 60's & 70's clothes though if you are looking for that really on the money dress up outfit for a theme party. Not cheap though - be warned!
