I really like Bambaleros. It's located on Maling Rd, a stone's throw from Canterbury train station. A great alternative to another very well known cafe.
The vibe is traditional, genteel and a little olde-worlde quaint. The food is anything but traditional, stodgy and posh however. Rather, it is modern and cosmopolitan. Expect delicious croquettes, empanadas alongside breakfast favourites such as smashed avocado with mushrooms on seeded toast. It's a great little local, with a relaxing feel. Perfect for a sunday morning.

This small cafe located along the strip of shops of Maling Road is good place to have breakfast or lunch, or just a coffee, since its their specialty!

To be honest I cannot comment on their coffees, as at the time of my visit I had a chai latte which was lovely!

The menu offers a variety of dishes with Spanish influence.

We had a tortilla (I think thats the name!!) well ... it was a slice of omelette with sliced potatoe and chorizo. Tasty dish I admit, but it was served luke warm, so not sure if its meant to be like that or it was not warmed enough. A small garnish of lettuce and tomatoe was on the plate too, with small dollop of what I believe to be pesto. That was about $15.

We received a discount off the bill, as we had an Entertainment book voucher which was convenient.

Credit cards are accepted too for payment.

Waitresses were very friendly and attentive. We were greeted with smiles, shown our table and given water and menus within minutes.
