No refund or replacement on faulty item. I have purchased dozens of products there and all these products are shipped from China and with cheap quality. I expect the cheap quality because its a 2dollar shop. However, the cooker I bought is already broken the moment I open the package. I spent 50 dollars on it(perhaps the most expensive product in that shop), so I brought it back hoping to get the money back. The owners were shouting on me and told me its my fault and I am the one breaking it, even though I just bought it like one hour ago. The couple even threated me. At the end, I did not get the money back and I was basicly kicked out of Bargain berserk.

Hi, Natalie,
thanks for your comment. I paid cash and I am stupid enough not to ask for a receipt at that time. However, there will not be any refund policy written on their receipt. Its 50 bucks, its not big enough to go to fair trading for it. I am just very angry of their threat and nasty language on me.

That is pretty disgraceful behaviour! Considering you took the item back to the store so quickly after purchasing it, you would think the owners would give you the benefit of the doubt and supply the refund. I also believe that the relevant consumer legislation should protect you for this particular type of issue.

Yes. I thought there would be no problem to get the refund. However, no refund nor replacement. There should be legislation somewhere to protect consumer. But I did not ask for a receipt. I have purchased items in this shop before. They donot provide receipt if customers pay cash, in order for them to pay less tax. This means I do not have proof to show to fair trading.

Its a typical $2 shop but has a really good range of cheap kitchen supplies. Perfect for when you're first starting out living away from home and just want to get a cheap set of everything. Lots of plastics - containers, colanders, bins; and a good range of utensils. Also has a hardware aisle. The 4 boxes of tissues for $3 is a bargain too.

Approximate cost: $2 plus
