Baroq House

This place is impressive. Hidden away in a lane way off the main streets, the second you walk in the decor demands your attention. A private room is available which is great, especially since it has it's own entrance so no chance of unwanted visitors.

went here for a 21st, very nice and fancy place getting here's a bit dodge though (what's with all the bins?) but i guess it's like a sneaky hidden thing

food was amazing and so were the drinks, bartenders were lovely and funny, and the staff serving food were quite nice as well

very fancy and eloquent place, so posh decor and elegant designs which is a breath of fresh air from typical melbourne clubs sometimes, it's a bit more popular with the ladies everytime i'm there i swear there aren't enough guys

it's not too bad though, even though it's a club i find that i end up talking to my friends on the seats, just soaking up the atmosphere really

It was one those random nights when I had no idea where I was going (as I'm new to Melbourne) and it ended up to be a great night. I loved the downstairs bit, although it was quite crowded and difficult to move. Ladies' toilets are very small with only one sink and 2 toilet cubicles... and one dodgy mirror... I would expect better than that from a classy place. Although, it has been the best going out place I have experienced in Melbourne,so far.

Ventured out in the cold for a friends birthday a few weeks back and though the decor is somewhat charming the staff are far from it. The door guys where petty and rude to one of the girls I was with that night as she wasn't dressed appropriately to 'fit in' with their crowd. We had to talk her way in which we were disgusted about since we came for a birthday! I also noticed a previous comment mentioned this so it may be there thing, regardless not cool.

i booked a private room for my hens party at baroq. this place is amazing. the drinks in the event package were amazing there was soo many drinks!!! the caramel shots were great. I am very glad i booked a private room. I don't think myself or my friends would have gained entry otherwise. this place is full of supermodels! the event lady tailored the package to what i wanted ie i didn't want a limo so instead i received extra drinks. the music was great also. Best place for a hens party. the decor in the room is amazing. i also received a cd full of professional photos of the night.

Good atmosphere inside. Dress to impress otherwise no entry. Had a free drink which was awesome. Dj keeps beats pumping. Really enjoy RnB music. very popular place and crowded. Generous size dancefloor. Will come back again.

Amazing looking place, Great place for drinks with friends or christmas party. Bodie from big brother is a regular ( good for eye candy ) Service is great, been for a hens night and would certainly recommend it as a venue

I hosted a Hens night here for a my best friends wedding. They did such an amazing job! The venue was just stunning, from the couches and mirrors to the canelabras, the decor is just magnificent! They organised everything for us. We had a 10 seater limo pick us up, signature cocktails, finger food and shots served to us by a topless waiter, a professional photographer, exclusive use of the venue to play our games and a stripper who was tasteful and a lot of fun, we then danced the night away when it turned into a night club. The girls had such a great night they are still raving about how very well done it was. I wish I could take all the credit, but Daniel the Baroq House event manager was just fantastic. We had a group of 30 girls and he catered to everyone and all of our requests. Thanks Baroq for a very fun and memorable night us girls will never forget.. Would highly recommend!

I went to a hens night event here and thought it was a Great place. Good music, Cosy and loved seating and venu. Polite friendly staff checked that we were happy. Great time had by all.
Good for after-work drinks.

they served finger food! free. Good crowd. very nicely done up. bar staff were dressed up adding something different to the place. but more seating could be added in the main bar area

Good place. You will get hit by the attitude of the door people and the "door bitches" but you have to expect it at some places. Hate the person, not the place... Roomy inside with a couple of side rooms. Down stairs has different music and another bar. Good looking crowd. Saturday is best.

Having been here several times for drinks with friends, I enjoyed the music and bar areas. People dress up here, and the fit out is of a classy quality. One little blonde on the door does tend to like to shout and gets quite irate at punters for little reason, however it is a nice place to meet.

I did lose some friends there recently and discovered them in the basement dance area, where the DJs were top notch. It actually is quite a discovery when you go down to the basement through the door at the rear of the top level lounge.

Looks ok, but too wannabe attitude. Drinks are overpriced and they can really overfill the place sometimes. It is one of the cleaner places in Melbourne, which says nothing for the state of nightlife. Maybe I'm just getting old, not sure. Anyways, good place overall

I went to Baroq house a couple of weeks ago, It's a very funky and stylish place with heaps of room to sit or dance. I found it quite nice at the start of the night but noticed that as the night progressed the place started to smell a little. It's also a little on the pricey side so not a great place to go if you are on a budget.

Great bar... very sophistacted decor, but relaxed atmosphere. Great 80's music on a Friday night. Lots of chairs, and tables, so you can always find a good spot to have fun with your friends. They also have table service for rounds of drinks - so you dont have to try and pass back 20 shots from the bar - very civilised!
