The Macarons here are the most fabulous in Sydney. The decor is a bit cold but the matches the modern take on traditional dishes.

Baroque has a real rustic feel is its decore and as you walk into Bistro, your eyes are greeted with the amazing looking pastry's, cakes and macaroons.

It was my 1st time at Baroque and my friends and I had fabulous lunch. They had a good selection of cocktails to choose from and I highly recommend the French Martini. For lunch we had the Black Truffle Cheeseburger with fries (which may look small but it was very filling), Eggs Benedict and the Charcuterie plate (cured meats served with house pickles and crusty baguette). There was also a Chicken liver parfait which look really delicious but, unfortunately they were all out. The food was all very delicious and the only negative was that service was slightly slow as I could see drinks and food that were ready but had not been served.

Although their desserts looked amazing, my friends and I were all to full for any desserts, but we will be back to try more of Baroque's food.

Approximate cost: $20+

I'm a huge macaron lover and Baroque definitely has some delicious tasty ones. When you step inside you are definitely looking inside the open plan patisserie kitchen where you see the patissiers create the show stopping cakes and macarons, you see on offer!

They have their famous macarons, cakes, tarts, desserts, pastries all made on site and coffee, tea or wine to enjoy with them.

They also offer " Macaron Masterclasses" where you can learn the skill of perfecting these delicious babies!

I love the dark chocolate, salted caramel (my fave) and blackcurrant macarons. They are $3 each to dine in or $2.70 for takeaway and come in boxes of 5, 7, 14 etc. I opted to dine in and had those 3 macaron flavours I mentioned before with coffee for $12. Was delicious and a great place to relax after a busy morning wandering around with kids at The Rocks.

I definitely recommend Baroque for all you dessert lovers! Will return!

Approximate cost: $12

As a macaron fanatic i can safely say this is my favourite place to buy them, average price, high quality and delicious beyond compare! I strongly reccommend the rose macarons. The service was quick and they even gave us an extra free one because it was cracked :)

I came here from Brisbane on holiday and after googling macaroons in Sydney it certainly did not disappoint!! I had the violet, salted caramel, jasmine, chocolate and rose macarons - they were one of the very best I've eaten in Australia!! absolutely perfect! Service wasn't anything special but I like the idea of macaron cooking classes!
