Looking at this chinese restaurant from the main road, you could easily miss it, not very appealing at all. I had previously tried this restaurant and was so disappointed that I was extremely apprehensive about returning, but friends had booked a table so I gave them another try.

Firstly, my satay chicken was horrible, never tasted anything like this before, cannot imagine how they got it so wrong. This was not a good start for me. We decided to share our meals - banquet like. The fried rice was almost cold and was lumpy, didn't taste fresh. The crispy roast pork and chicken was ok, about average. The garlic prawns actually tasted ok, probably the best part of the meal. Service was slow and unfriendly. Overall, no one was particularly happy with the meals or service, it was once again disappointing and my friends said they would listen to me next time. None of us will be returning.

Easy to order on the phone and not a long wait for a Saturday night, only 20 mins. Food was good quality and tasted very nice. Was able to cater for a fussy eater.

The only down thing was the large fried rice was quite small. But all other dishes were good value for money.

It was very enjoyable; the staff were very friendly and the food was delivered fairly quickly. The food was very nice, and the cost was quite low. It was perfect for tea for 2 and the atmosphere was very nice.

Approximate cost: $20

Unfortunately this is one restaurant that I will not be returning to or recommending.

I picked up some takeaway for my family and found the servings to be small and the food about average or below. I ordered the garlic prawns, as mentioned in a previous review I did notice that the tails were still on the prawns. Why? Who wants to pick through their meal to remove them. Our son was especially disappointed. As for the prawn toast that was about average, as was the rest of our order. This was a couple of months ago, but I am not willing to give them another try, the the staff were not particularly friendly either as well as being slow with our order.

This is one chinese restaurant that I will not be returning to. The service was terrible, even though they were not busy, the food was either overcooked or undercooked, hardly any meat, I had to go fishing for it. Maybe they were having an off day, but I will not be returning and neither will my friends.

Approximate cost: $15+

Too many chairs and tables in too small a space. Can be kept waiting for up to an hour for your main course. We figured the kitchen is way too small which is why service takes so long. Careful if you order prawns as a main course because their tails are still intact so obviously they have not been deveined. Their fried rice was nice but be careful once again because the prawns have not all been deveined...ewww! Their Mongolian Steak is super heavy on the chilli (not on the menu) so be warned. Main courses do not come with rice. I was surprised it was not busy and it was late night shopping. Maybe most people in the area were already aware of BBQ Hill's shortcomings.

Approximate cost: $15-30

A small restaurant, a little squeezy with the seating. Not enough personal space but acceptable. We had Yum Cha. Price was based on which category (ranging from regular to deluxe) of dish we chose. As there were several of us we had a large range from the exotic - chickens feet - to the usual, spring rolls, washed down with Chinese Tea. The quality of the dishes was mainly good and reasonably authentic. One in our group chose Chicken and corn soup which was sadly the "for the Aussie palate" version. The delivery of our food to the table was hap-hazard, for example we had to wait for rice to appear quite a while after some other main dishes had arrived. The Chinese tea would have tasted much better had non-tap water been used. Service was not bad but communication was a little strained, as the waitress did not fully understand us. We will be returnng to sample the other dishes.

Approximate cost: $5 - 8 yum cha
