Possibly best beer garden in Melbourne. Nice spot to catch up with mates, plenty of beer to choose from, fun atmosphere. Very popular on a sunny arvo.

Great place, a variety of different beers to taste, or you can just hit the spirits. Everyone calls this place Belgian Beer Garden, sounds cooler, but less fancy. Easy parking, lots of room and great on a Saturday afternoon. I am actually going there this afternoon.

Went here for a friends birthday. The place is huge and it's perfect for afterwork drinks close to Melbourne CBD or a casual get together with friends. There's plenty of tables so you really shouldn't have any trouble finding a place to sit.

What I really liked most about it is that you didn't have to wait long to get a drink! They have a good variety of beers and spirits, so there's something for everyone. I'm usually a none-beer drinker, but found their Hoegarden beer was very light and doesn't leave a bitter aftertaste in your mouth.

It's located on St Kilda Rd, so there should be plenty of parking on the weekend. No need to book. I didn't have anything to eat there, but they do have pub-style food available.

Very chilled and nothing fancy - just a great place to be during a warm summer's night.

Approximate cost: $9

We often go here in the middle of the summer. There's nothing better than a cold beer on a hot day in a beer garden! Being from Europe, this is a great place for me to feel back at home. Just wish the beer prices were the same as in Switzerland or Germany! ie, much cheaper! On a cold day, try their mussels in the restaurant.

Approximate cost: $28

They serve the best food you can ever imagine. Always a good variety and they obviously have a chef who cares about not only the food presentation but the flavour too. Good service, don't have to wait too long for your food.

I've heard about this place many times but somehow only managed to go there for the first time this week. (I can't believe no-one else has rated it yet!) It's a fantastic place for catching up for a drink and a bite with friends - especially when it's warm as the outside area is huge. I went on a Tuesday night, and the place had a great atmosphere to it. I'm told that on a Friday night in Summer, the massive lawns are covered with people. We ate inside. It's kind of traditional pub / Belgium food. Lots of steaks and they also have lots of mussel pots. I had an entree of calamari which was ok but then had the Chocolate Waffles for dessert - which was fantastic.

Approximate cost: $22
