We booked a table for our wedding anniversary last month, a rare night out lately without children. It was appalling. From the minute we walked in the door it was the worst service I have ever received. We announced we had a booking for 2 and stated the name the table was reserved under only to be asked "oh, have you paid?"...and it went downhill from there.
We were seated next to the drinks fridge right next to the kitchen and bar (not in the main restaurant area). If I had been told they were "squeezing us in" when I made the booking I would have gone elsewhere. We were "waited on" by a trainee while the manager hovered around him and corrected him flat out (makes it very awkward when you are trying to have a conversation). Our order had to be repeated numerous times.
I lost count of the number of times my chair was bumped by staff or by the fridge and even the broom at one point!

The food was poor, very poor quality. Despite where we were sitting it was almost impossible to get any service as the staff were too busy gossiping a couple of meters away from us.

All in all very disappointing and spoiled our evening.
