Stopped here for years as the pies and cakes are so good. Special treat a great Vanilla Slice. Now the next generation are also hooked on the Vanillia Slice option.

We always stop here along the way to Mt Buller because they're open early, have a good range of pies, sausage rolls, foccacias, croissants and other bakery items. The quality is good and the prices reasonable. Service is okay - not that friendly but efficient. Plenty of room to seat everyone if you have a big group and a bathroom if you need to go after driving for the last two hours from Melbourne! This place is a specialist for sourdough breads and also makes a good wholemeal loaf.

Bertallis have a great range of breads and cakes as well as a sit down large sit down area for breaky or lunch. Pies are very nice as are most of the cakes and rolls. You can also buy a tea or coffee here
