4 reviews about Best Western Beachfront At Bicheno

I stayed here with my daughters, and we had the best weekend. We had a very comfortable room overlooking the water, with a balcony leading off the room. We enjoyed the room service, as a treat, and sat on the balcony with a glass of wine, a tray of the most delicious oysters, and a magnificent view! We ate at the tavern connected to the motel - and had the most delicious seafood meals at a very reasonable price. Couldn't get over the quality and flavour of the meals for the cost. I wouldn't eat anywhere else if staying at this motel - great value! The staff were very friendly - they even loan us a pack of cards to take back to the room with us, to return the next morning!

I stayed here for just one night while on a weekend off down the east coast. Upon arriving (I didn't have a booking) I was told that I could have the room for the same price as the current deal on wotif.com. This was $99 a night for a pool view room. What I couldn't have was the continental breakfast that was also included for the same price in the wotif deal. Couldn't quite understand that and I should have just jumped on my phone and booked through wotif while standing at the counter but couldn't be bothered.

That negative aside it's probably my only one. Nice modern room. Comfortable king sized bed. Glorius shower/bathroom. Best nights sleep in a while. Actually, another negative is that there doesn't seem to be a lot of noise abatement in the rooms so I could hear noise from adjoining rooms. Good thing im a heavy sleeper.

The stand out in this facility is the pub attached to the motel. WOW is all I can say. Absolutely the BEST seafood platter I have ever had and even though I was beyond stuffed after forcing myself to eat it all I also had the tiramisu trifle for dessert. If I could only eat the same thing for the rest of my life it would be the two meals I had here. You really have to try the scallops thermidor that are done as part of the platter. TDF!!!! And the trifle.

All in all I wouldn't stay anywhere else the next time
I was in Bicheno.

Approximate cost: $150 room + dinner for 1 person

We booked in on the Winter Escape Package. Unbelievable value, accommodation (Ocean View room) Continental Breakfast, and a main course for 2 from the Bistro Menu.
Really comfortable room, large shower, lovely staff. Really enjoyable escape and only $169 for two people.

Just very slightly away from the main strip of Bicheno (which is at the most, a 5 mins walk) and have big and comfortable rooms. There is a pool and a restaurant, but the restaurant is really expensive. It's better to just eat at the local cafe or at the tavern connected to the motel. Price is good for its location, right opposite the water, and there is a good value in-room dining breakfast for $12 for a bacon and eggs dish.

Approximate cost: $150
