Having completed several renovations in the past I approached the selection of our contractor with the belief that I was familiar with the ups and downs that accompanied the partnership. Cameron and his team exceeded my expectations on every level. There were the numerous challenges: an ambitious time frame that was pushed to aggressive when council approvals were delayed (the result of council vagaries, not the fault of the builder or architect), the fact that we live in Hong Kong and I could only make a few visits back to Sydney, and finally dealing with budget and project management with a 3 hour time difference. Cameron and his team delivered the project on time, I was kept completely informed of the building progress through regular pictorial updates, and any budget variances were well documented and discussed ahead of time with options presented. Neighborhood issues were kept to a minimum with the team's focus on keeping a clean site and sensitivity to any surrounding impact. Given we were managing from afar, the architect/builder relationship needed to be a smooth one and in this respect I believe both were pleased with the relationship that developed-- again making it an easy process for us to manage. The professionalism and responsiveness of Cameron and his team has been impressive. He takes pride, as he should, in a job well done and wants a client to be happy with their "new" home. In summary, I can't recommend Cameron any higher.

Cameron is extremely professional and friendly and has a lot of helpful tips, this allowed us to save money and use it to do a project we were originally going to do at a later time. The work we had done was done in the timeframe we agreed on and Cameron constantly communicated with us throughout the job. Cameron, we cannot thank you enough for the exceptional work you have been doing within our complex! We were recommended Cameron by a close friend and are so grateful that we got the opportunity to start working with him. I am part of the Executive Committee for a large complex of townhouses and approached Cameron for what appeared to be a simple balcony to be replaced. Little did we know that we had just opened Pandora's box as suddenly we learned from another owner that their balcony also had this issue which led to us discovering issues with the roofs, structural beams, gutters, drainage and foundations for numerous properties. From there we needed to get building inspections done for all the properties to determine if there were any other hidden structural issues and it had to be done in a specific time frame. Cameron was beyond amazing in that not only did he take the time to take the committee through all the work that required to be done and how he would be approaching it, he also spent time educating all the other owners in a EGM that we ran. He was so honest throughout the process and talked us out things that we thought was urgent and needed to be done which helped us in making sure money was spent where it was required. He guided us on how we could modernise our facade as we undertook the work by helping us in choosing the right new materials. He then helped us in putting together a plan of action on how best to tackle all the work over 18 months. We then required some of the work to be done by a certain date and Cameron and his team obliged - going as far as working Boxing day, Australia Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Monday to ensure that the work was completed by the specific time frame without charging us any extra - in all our years as E.C members, we don't know any tradesperson who would do that. Cameron and his team were quick, tidy and efficient and he refused to cut corners in order to meet out timelines. When there was a shortage in Sydney for the timber we required, Cameron spent hours calling up timber yards in other parts of Australia to source it so the work could be completed timely. Throughout the process, Cameron made sure to regularly update us on the progress so we could keep other owners informed and provided pictures when required. The end result of all of this was a request by majority of the owners to appoint him as the only builder to use within our complex. When I mentioned to the other E.C members that I was going to be adding a review for Cameron, they asked me to also make mention of how polite and courteous he was. Some of our elderly members also requested that they also wanted it made known about how Cameron and his team had manners - even whilst they worked, there was no swearing, inappropriate language or disrespectful conversations amongst themselves. It's a shame TrueLocal only allows us to upload 10 pictures - Couldn't really show his work. Our property is off New Line Road at Cherrybrook and we are more than happy to allow people to inspect the work that Cameron has done to see just how exceptional the quality of work is and to talk to the EC members / owners if they would like a more detailed reference.
