We visited birdworld yesterday , we brought a package deal with the Koala gardens which made it a bit cheaper. Make sure you purchase a bag of bird food before entering. As soon as we walked in I had 2 birds land on me. I got some awesome photos to of us with birds on us. It was a lot of fun.

This place was a lot of fun. There was one particular parrot who took a liking to my stud earring and pulled it out of my ear! We managed to pull it from his mouth before he decided to make a meal of it. This is how friendly the birds are but we were warned before we went in that 'shiny' things and earrings attract the birds. I wish we had more time in here but we had to leave to catch our bus. I would highly recommend a visit to Birdworld Kuranda.

What a beautiful experience, just being amongst these gorgeous birds, feeding them and just enjoying their beauty. Treasured memories from one of the best things I've ever done.

Awesome experience. Warning- the birds are VERY friendly. TIP- Go towards the end of the day after 3pm if you are not on a bus tour as its much quieter - ask before you enter how many people are in there. If you only do one thing in Kuranda this is what i recommend,such beautiful birds flying around and you can hand feed them,watch out for 'Cheeky' This also may be the only place you get to see a Casswary close up.
