Black Hill Hotel

The service was great! So good I assumed wrongly that the waiter was an owner, as he was so committed to good service.
Fabulous food.
I got the open steak. Highly recommend.

Disgraceful! My partner and I went here for a meal and had to wait 5 minutes just to get a table in an empty restaurant. I had cork and the plastic it was wrapped in, in my wine. I ordered well done steak and was given a lamb shank instead. When my steak arrived it was red in the middle, the chips underneath were soaked in blood from the steak. We were then over charged for our meal by $10, our beer/wine were supposed to be included with the lunch menu but we were charged separately for them. The owner seemed to lord around and only take care of his friends who were there for lunch leaving his unfriendly wife to take care of the rest. Wont be returning.

great hotel had a really enjoyable meal with family here all 3 meals were awsome and very tasty the steak i had was cooked to my liking and the service from all staff was great as well real neat and tiny place to take the family for a enjoyable evening out

have been here alot for family get togethers. the place itself is really quite nice. i cannot say how expensive the food is as i cannot remember but i dont think it was to bad. the food itself really is quite nice my favourite would be the vegetarian stir fry which unfortunately they didnt have on menu last time i was there. the have a bar area, dining area, and a pool area too if im not mistaken. really quite nice. highly recommend

We had dinner at the Black Hill Hotel and as always the food is fabulous. The best salt and pepper squid I have ever tasted! The service is outstanding with very friendly staff. Cant fault it. This will be our regular place to dine.

The blackie is one of the best pubs in Ballarat. The gourmet wood fire pizzas always bring me back !

The new ched really knows how to cook, And the beer is always cold and geoff always has a smile on his dial.

I have eaten here twice and the food/service is excellent. Not only that but the decor is beautiful (one of the better pubs/hotels I've eaten at).
