Punchy strong coffee good service with a smile

Great strong coffee! Just the way i like it. The cold pressed coffee is amazing and such a great concept, such a simple easy concept that no other coffee house has had the brains do themselves with their own blends...glad they thought of it!

While I absolutely agree with the nice words of other reviewers, it's worth pointing out that this is very much a leisurely dine-in experience. The laid-back, proudly "alternative" atmosphere is wonderful when you have all the time in the world. Less so if you're hoping for a quick takeaway coffee on the way to work!

Just a tiny disclaimer, and not a criticism per se. If you have the time, this is coffee worth waiting ten minutes for!

I come here for the cold press - a take away iced coffee brewed on site and sealed in a beer bottle. It's definitely cool and the coffee is great - caffeine you can taste.

Be careful if you're sensitive to caffeine - this stuff is pure, and too much will give you the shakes!

The bircher muesli from a few months/years ago was awesome - bring it back!!

I just tried their coffee and it was amazing! It was just how I like it. It was strong and full of flavour. It's also good that they are open until late at night.

Great, affordable coffee and sweet things. I love their odd, mismatched decor and it's a great place to sit on a sunny day. Also it's a little bit removed from the bustle of the main strip of West End, so not so frenetic.

Great Coffee, Great atmosphere friendly staff. Everyone should try their Cold Press coffee. Must visit location in West End.

Love Blackstar coffee! Have to say it's one of the best coffees in Brisbane! Friendly and quirky staff, great atmosphere, amazing smooth coffee, yummy pastries/cakes, affordable! what more could you ask for?
although they once burnt my partner's coffee slightly, but hey, people make mistakes at times. :)
