Ross the owner of this caravan park is arrogant ,rude, and appears to be an uneducated racist red neck individual. He has every excuse to why the park is not suitable for you to being to quiet to having to many young children around. The park does not appear to be child friendly as it has no play ground which he removed because of the noise the children made whilst playing. He asks a lot of personal questions in an interview like manner that are irrelevant to the situation. Strange man all round.

We brought our own caravan and used a powered site for 4 nights. The site was a beautiful cool shady spot, despite the hot weather, and within easy walking distance of two amenities blocks, which were well maintained and very clean, if a little dated. We found Ross, the owner, to be very friendly, helpful and accommodating. e.g.We couldn't depart at the normal check-out time on the final day because we had booked an all-day tour swimming with seals and dolphins. Ross arranged for us to park our van under a big shady tree because our site was booked, and even offered to drive us into Sorrento so that we would not have to unhitch the van. Nothing was too much trouble. The comment in another review about the requirement to have a Blairgowrie Caravan Park sticker on your car before entry to the park badly misrepresents the situation. Ross simply uses these stickers to identify the cars of current tenants, which enables him to keep the cars of non-tenants out of his park. We had a great time, and we will be back.

Approximate cost: $140

I cannot rate this caravan park as they do not deserve even a 1 star rating.
My family own an on-site van at this park & My husband children & I often go there to have a short break. The owner has a real problem if you enter the park without a sticker advertising his caravan park on your car, which in most cases we are happy to abide by this rule, however on one occasion we had friends come to stay there with us overnight & he waited until the Husband's were not there then he harassed us about having the car inside the park, which we needed to unpack as it was full of groceries, he absolutely went crazy at us & frightened our children. She immediately removed her car which he later told our family that she left it in the caravan park which is untrue. He is so very rude.He drives around checking up on everyone and he will certainly let you know when you are doing the wrong thing. He has different rules for people as he states that it is strictly no pets and this weekend just passed there was a caravan right behind us with a dog staying in it. You are not allowed to have BBQ 's in the park & we have been told by other residents there used to be a playground for the children but he removed it as the children were too noisy. So if you are thinking of staying there either as a permanent or on a weekly basis, if you have children then be careful as we feel that this park owner does not like families, we actually believe that he doesn't like people at all.

Approximate cost: $3800 per year overnigh

Anonymous review (26 Nov 2007) is accurate of Ross's demeanor as I experienced recently. Also the amenities are substandard & general atmosphere is not what a caravan park should be & the rates are extortionate, it seems Ross wants your money but doesn't want you to be there!!!
