We used Blumenthal for our wedding. I have very mixed feelings....

Our bridal party shots turned out lovely, but that's about where it ended. I feel like their after-sale service and follow up is lacking for how much you pay. On the day of the wedding the main photographer was good, but we were left with the second in charge for the night and I found her sitting on the couch half the time at the reception. We had hardly any group shots (one per table) and I had no photos with friends etc. There weren't many photos of my mother for the whole day either (like a previous reviewer here) and she was very upset. I feel you need a photographer who goes around actively taking shots, finding times to do so etc instead of standing there waiting on the night to be told what to do next.

After the wedding they told us they would provide us with some preview shots a week after the wedding- never happened. I felt like our wedding wasn't fancy enough for them to post on their Facebook, or we weren't the look they were after? I never asked them to post them there, I wanted just a couple emailed to me. All I got was excuses. I saw weddings that had happened after mine on Facebook and got so upset! I asked repeatedly for preview photos as promised and they never came. Finally we saw photos 7 weeks after the wedding.

For the price, I definitely don't recommend- you can find a lot better for a lot less.

Love the photos from my wedding however because they specialise in candid photography there are only three photos (out of 500+) of my mum, and not a single shot of us together, which I was devastated to discover four months after my wedding when I saw the photos for the first time. For the price we paid (Blumenthal are VERY expense). I trusted the photographer would capture at least one moment I shared with my mun that day, but sadly this was overlooked and something I can never redo. If I could do my day over again I would go with another photographer who also does candid, but doesn't charge the earth & is more personalised.

The photos are untacky and stylish. A nice blend between fashion and candid shots. The girls are so nice and respond quickly to any question.
