This store is a tightly run ship, with freshness, hygiene and friendly, fast service. The owner lady greets you with a smile and she can suggest yummy combinations! They will make whatever you want, and they don't skimp on ingredients.
I usually buy juice about 3 times a week from this store, and I lived off only the juices from here for 41 days once (diet a la the Fat Sick & Nearly Dead documentary, going from 73 to 60kg in weight). After about 150 or more juices in the last year, I have some experience! :-)
First off, this store is cheaper than other Boost or any juice stores in my area. But this is not why it’s my favourite. Staff care and are able to understand what you want, unlike in some other stores where what comes out doesn’t reflect that you said ‘please put in more of this and less of that’. That means you will get what you feel like drinking at this shop. At Newtown Boost, I can see the fruit & vegies going in the juicer, and never had anything strange added to my juice. In another place I won’t name here because I’m being nice, I saw pre-made (or bottled?) orange juice being added to my order, which tastes very different. In yet another place, I was told half an hour before closing time that the juicer is off! In contrast, I’ve turned up right on closing time several times at Newtown, and I was still welcome to make an order.
During my 41 days on juice, I loved going there every day to get my healthy fix! And every 3 days I’d get my free juice with the loyalty card :-) After several days on my diet I ended up with a favourite recipe, and the lady remembered how much of everything to put in it for the same taste. I used to take juice home in my own lidded jars, and the staff had no problems accommodating that. If I pre-ordered, my juice was kept in the fridge even for those 10-15 minutes. Now that I’m off the diet I still get juice every couple of days, or buy the tuna rolls (they look good and fresh).
If you want some juice, you'll be safe here and happy with the fresh nutrition in your cup!
