This fish & chip takeaway is our regular. Lovely couple, always welcome you with a smile & most helpful. Grilled fish is my favourite, hamburgers are great too.

This little shop is run by a lovely Greek family. They take your order and are happy for you to disappear for the 15 minutes or so it takes to cook, into the Safeway supermarket just across the car park. You don't have to pay first.

The fish is really nice here and the potato cakes are thicker than some, so not overcooked. It's a traditional fish and chip shop - they wrap your order in paper instead of a box with a bag over the top which makes everything go cold very quickly.

Prices here are competitive and good value compared to the more up-market fish shops further along this road.

There's no frills here - just good fish and pleasant people to talk to who are willing to have a chat. Dim Sims, corn jacks and other menu items are delicious too.

I've found they close earlier than some fish shops, so get here by 7.30 p.m. to be sure. It's very handy when I'm on my way home from work.
