[redacted] They now operate as Green Square Automotive. I was told I needed a new battery so I paid for one. Three weeks later my 3 year old car was dead. I called them and they took the car back - before they I did I took a photo of the car battery. It was not a new battery at all. They called me after inspecting the car and said I needed a new alternator for $600. This didn't ring true to me and after holding my car for 4 days, I asked them to return it but not before advising them I would contact Fair Trading if my car was not returned on that day. My car was returned very late. I looked under the bonnet and found the battery had been replaced with a new one! I'm getting my car checked over by a reputable mechanic. If there is anything amiss, I'll be going to Fair Trading. [redacted] Do not trust them.

please stay away from 20 Bourke rd, Alexandria. Very poor service, I didnt find my car while i was there to pick up. Somebody was smoking inside my car. Very expensive deal.

I thought it would be useful for everyone to share my mixed experiences with this business. In short I have 2 cars which i had serviced at BR, one went smoothly without trouble and the other could be described as a total nightmare. To keep my experience short i had to take the car back 7 times over the course of 8 weeks at a cost of +$3k. The reasons for going back numerous times was when they fixed the original problem they broke something else. My car is worst than when i dropped it off. I recommend you approach this business with caution.

Good Honest Mechanics. I was suppose to have my car serviced at Holden. They told me that I had to replace all my brake pads. I couldn't afford it at the time. I then bought a service voucher for Bourke Road Automotive. They picked up my car and when I asked them about the brakes they said that it was not necessary to do right now. They said that I should wait a while longer and they will let me know when they are worn out. Any other mechanic would have changed my brakes just to make money. Not these guys. I definitely recommend them. And they gave me a free pink slip!

Wow, some pretty mixed reviews here. I feel lucky that I had a good experience. I have a voucher that I bought from a guy named Philip. I brought my car to them around 5pm for a major service so they had to keep it overnight and they were nice enough to give me a ride back to Bondi. The next day, when the service was done, they came to pick me up!!! When I got my car back it was washed and vacuumed. Personally had a great experience. They dont pick up during peak hours but thats normal. I dont understand how anyone can complain about that?

I have to say, i have been there before when the management was different. It was the worst service ever. Now i tried them again as the new owner assured me of his survice. I brought my car there after buying a voucher from a salesman. i did not care about the voucher but my car. the car came back great. this is the second time i am servicing my car with the new owner and again it has been back to me clean/washed and in good shape. they tell you every problem and let you know what happens if it is not changed. i have to say that these guys are by far the best machs i have ever been too.

SERVICE VOUCHERS FOR $99 which states free labour but they charge for extras that people don't need and only pick up and drop off when it suits them NOT the customer!! I had a problem with my alarm kept on going of randomly...middle of the night sometimes a few times real pain not only for me but also the neighbours took my car stupidly to Audi Zetland they charged for some other work and could not fix the alarm problem said they tunned down the sensitivity but that didn't help, they quoted me on a timing belt change so I went elsewhere, Bourke street mechanics changed the belt for close to half the price audi had quoted, they also fixed my alarm problem service mechanics were extremely helpful and were very experienced, not that I am that technical but had done my research through forums etc...the mechanics pointed out all the avenues for testing, they were in line with all my research so they were not talking crap to charge extra, surprisingly since I had got my timing belt and new tyres done alignment etc... when I went back for the alarm issue they did not charge!

Rude. Paid $99 for a promotional voucher but it expired, called and was told to bring my car in but after bringing my car in I get turned down. Wast of time and money. My old mechanic that use to service all 6 of my company vehicle retired and I'm looking for a good auto center to take my cars to. Guess this isn't the one... I will also be telling all my local business partners to stay away.

Gave them my car for service with their car service club promotion. They told me that my shock absorber need replacing on a 5 year old car, tyres need replacing and they sent me photo of damaged typres apparently caused by the worn shock absorber. I agreed to replaced the tyres as they were running out of treads anyway. When I took the car for second opinion on the shock absorbers, they were fine. Also were told that the new types Bourke Road Motor fitted were too big for my car. Bourke Road Motor didn't give me a receipt for the work done, so I have no proof that they fitted the incorrect tyres. Avoid at all cost.
