What first drew our attention to ADP was the very quick response to our request for an inspection for a full house paint. Promptly after the inspection we received a very professional looking quote. We were very impressed with the detail of the quote and links to photos of parts of the house to explain the area in the quote. We accepted the Colour Consultant meeting (and we were so glad we did!), we thought we knew what we were looking for but turned out we wouldn't have been able to even pick the right colors!
On the first day, the guys arrived on time and to our surprise began work almost immediately, no mucking around for half a day wondering where to start. The guys were on time (if not early) every morning. They were friendly and answered any questions that came their way. They were let down a couple of days where their apprentice didn't show up but they still finished the job on time. We had some issues with storm damage shortly after the completion of our job which Gary and Darren promptly assisted us with.
Every step of the way we were met with professional, polite, friendly and hard working individuals.
Although not the cheapest of the quotes we received from painters, we were very happy we chose ADP and would be happy to recommend to anyone.

We wanted to repaint our three bedroom 2 bathroom apartment after we had major renovations to bathrooms, laundry, built in cupboards and extensive tiling of floors. Our experience with the contractor who undertook this work was not a happy one. We decided to have the painting done even though the Reno work was still continuing. The bathroom renovator company had a 9 week contract that blew out to 16 weeks so we were a touch wary when we selected painters for quotes.
Gary from ADP was not the cheapest but we were impressed with his openness and honesty and we decided to go ahead with his quote. He promised to have the work completed in the four day week before Easter. Darren the Operations Manager checked in every day on progress and our satisfaction with the work.
Cameron and Tim did most of the work with Darren deploying an additional painter to help on the last day. Cameron was especially helpful. We agreed to early starts and the boys put in a major effort to deliver a quality job on time. They were meticulous in cleaning up.
The week following Easter saw Gary following up with any touch ups required. There were very minor touch ups required and one or two of these were caused by me in hanging pictures. Caneron returned to do the work. He was thorough, friendly and left us totally satisfied. Thank you, Gary, Darren, Cameron and Tim. What a team!

My partner and I contracted Applied & Decorative Painting to repaint the externals of our wooden house. The house is quite old and had been badly prepared prior to its last paint job by the previous owner resulting in large areas of paint lifting and wood being exposed. Gary was one of a few contractors who came to visit us to price the job. He came on a weekend which was very convenient for us and spent quite a lot of time examining the external paint and counseling us on what he thought we would need to get the house back in shape. Gary seemed very knowledgeable and serious about ensuring we get the best possible long-lasting results for our investment. Thanks to Gary's advice, we opted for chemical stripping prior to repainting. We also agreed to meet with a colour consultant to choose the best colour combination for our home as this was a free service Gary offered to supply. I was a bit reluctant at first (We thought to ourselves, how hard can it be to choose colours, right?) but with hindsight, it's really lucky we consulted on that as what we had in mind would have totally clashed with our brickwork!
The preparation was extensive and the guys did a lot of gap filling which means the final job looks very neat. The guys were also very considerate and kept the gates closed whenever possible or the dog tied up when they had to, this was a big concern of ours. All in all, a very nice job considering how big a job that was!
We would most definitely recommend Applied & Decorative Painting if you are looking for a thorough, professional and long-lasting paint job on your house externals.

We recently got our newly bought 4 bedroom house at Springfield repainted by these guys. We split the job into two stages six months apart so that we could manage the costs. I enjoyed working with Gary and his team on both occasions. They are a highly professional and customer focussed outfit and do a very thorough job with fantastic attention to detail. We had the exterior of our Queenslander painted. The colour consultant and the quality of the paints used was excellent. They used an oil based undercoat and 2 top coats unlike others who quoted on the job. Communication was regular.

There was poor attention to detail with poor demarcation between colours in some areas and some less obvious areas not painted at all. They were willing to come back and fix any problems. Staff were pulled away on to other jobs leaving our job under resourced and there was poor supervision of first year apprentice.

From first contact ADP were highly professional, they understand that first impressions count for a lot - but that they need to be followed up with good service. Interactive quotation software is very useful, colour consultancy and pre work advice all very good.
The work team were friendly, cooperative and very professional, the lads were a pleasure to have around. The job they did was first rate and the daily phone calls and emails with Gary were very welcome especially when I was out of the country during some the process. They really do want to get your job right.
ADP were not the cheapest quote, but we chose them on the basis of their professional approach and we were not disappointed at any stage in the process. If its cheap you are after, there are plenty of cowboys out there!
