We found Paul to be a friendly, thorough and extremely knowledgeable building and pest inspector. He took the time to explain the process and answer our questions prior to and even during the inspection and after. Paul saved us from making what would have been a huge mistake. We were not going to bother to have a building inspection because we thought everything appeared to be okay, but we are so glad we did! The inspection was conducted at short notice and Paul sent us the comprehensive report the same day as the inspection. The report was detailed and contained several photographs, detailing areas of concern with clear explanations. We have used the services of other building and pest inspectors in the past, and none meet the high standards set by Paul.

I called Paul of BIA on the Saturday after signing a contract on a house for sale and needed a building inspect by COB on the Monday. He was extremely helpful in accommodating our short lead time and provided us with a very thorough report which details all aspects of the house. Paul was very knowledgeable about both building and pest in the area and gave us great advice and information. We would not hesitate to recommend Paul and BIA services.

Highly recommend Paul for building inspections. The things I most appreciated were:* He goes into the roof and under the subfloor (if possible) to check the roof and the stumps* He's easy to talk too. I asked him questions (including dumb ones) and he gave answers which made sense and helped.* He doesn't subcontract - so when you hire him to do the work, you've got him to do the work (rather than a person who may not be as good)* Extremely quick turn around. I contacted him on a Friday evening. He did the inspection on Monday, and I had the full report by Monday night.
