Bunnings is one of the bigger suppliers, and unfortunately this shows in service provision & product knowledge. You often have to find things by yourself - and it's a bit of a maze. On the upside though, the prices are often cheaper due to the size of the company.

I have shopped at this Bunnings for all sorts of things. They are fantastic at replacing faulty goods, but they sell a lot of cheap goods that break quickly and need replacing. So I guess it's whether your time is worth spending going backwards and forwards. If you're in the garden area, ask the women for help - they're extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

I'm unsure how to rate these guys! I have bought a lot of things for the house renovations and other general things from them. Their prices are good and most of the time the service is good, as far as quility goes... you get what you pay for. I have had many good experiences at Bunnings in Ballarat but there have been one or two times that I have been disapointed. In general I have been fairly happy with them.

18/08/07 went back in yesterday to pick up some "promised to be in stock" handles for the third time and was told they were on a pallet out the back but the sales assistant wouldn't go and get them because it would take him too long. I was pretty agro about this as I had been in twice already and now they were finally in and the guy wouldn't get them for me. I thought it was pretty bad customer service shown by a company that pushes how great their customer service skills are. I'll go to the local owned supplies store from now on. Very dissapointed.

I'm renovating my house at the moment and have had recent mixed experiences when seeking assistance at Bunnings in Ballarat. The first few times, the staff were excellent. They were patient and helpful; my partner and I didn't feel our questions were ever silly. They have pretty much everything we need which is good. Recently though, we asked someone to direct us to the shelves area and got sent to the wrong part and not helped any further. It was quite frustrating, considering how good the service has been in the past.
