On driving along the New England Hwy at Wingen in the Northern NSW, you can help but notice Burning Mountain Antiques - there are antiques spilling out of the huge old shearing shed in the paddock, and then there's the road side shed itself....... my wife wanted me to buy the shed (that ok, no problems I said shaking my head!). The roadside shed is filled with all sorts of valuable items. Way too much variety to list here. But a visit to Burning Mountain Antiques won't disappoint. We stood in awe of the myriad of completely refurbished timber and leather antiques, all loving prepared ready for sale, right there on the premises. Then there are the huge slabs of recycled scarred hardwoods, full of rusty nails and covered in multiple layers of old paint - you have to admire those who can take these old materials, clean then up, de-nail them, strip them of their ugliness and the recreate them into works of art, amazing Tables and Chairs and general furniture items. Take the time! take a drive out to Wingen. You wont be disappointed.
