Very pleasant experience from this small family owned business. They were so helpful I was referred to him by a friend who advised me to go there. I thought I needed 4 tyres but was pleased to be told I only need 2 tyres at present, can't get that service anywhere, They also do the little things behind the secene that other tyre stores don't do. They cleaned the bead of my rims which i have never seen done before to prevent leaks, properly balanced wheels not static balanced and tention wrenched my wheels and not just rattle gun them up so tight that i can't get them off. Highly recommend

Lied to and given incorrect sized tyres! Purchased 4 new tyres from Burnside. On arrival, was greeted ok and after inspection of tyres, informed that I had incorrect tyres on my car (wrong size) and was told I was lucky not to have had an accident as I would not have been insured! Actually thanked him for being honest (should have thanked him for lying to me!) as I said to him I get ripped off when it comes to my car as I'm female.

Burnside put on correct size tyres (discovered they are wrong size but more expensive when I got home) on my car, took my money and I left. No mention of checking spare tyre (they didn't), no wheel alignment (none done) nor wheel balance (not done), just 4 new tyres. Had to take my car elsewhere to get wheel alignment and balance (extra cost) but still stuck with an old spare as I can't afford to buy a new tyre.

Once home, checked my User Manual (located in my glove box) to discover I had the correct size tyres on my car, Burnside had put the WRONG size on my car. Long story short (afternoon spent on phone to insurance company and visiting other tyre companies), I'm still insured as car meets roadworthy standard, they lied to me about insurance coverage. Oh, and my speedo shows the incorrect speed!!

Emailed Burnside and explained my concerns and how I felt disappointed and I would provide my experience with other people, NO RESPONSE and I gave them 2 weeks to respond! Suggest if you are female, stay away as they will take you money, lie to you and provide barely any service plus the wrong size more expensive tyres! So disappointed as I went there due to my fiancé receiving good service last year. Guess they only look after males and rip off females. For the record, I dealt with the owner of the company so they can't excuse their staff!!!
Type of tyre is acceptable for the price I paid.
